We believe that God has a plan and purpose for everyone and we want to help you grow into the person God has destined you to be. Jesus said that we should, ‘…live life to the full’ – we aim to do just that!

Since the 20th century, the church has been at the centre of Christianity in the north of England and today remains a thriving church rooted in the weekly offering of worship and prayer. As well as social events such as quizzes and fairs. The church was built for the glory of God. Every aspect of this building - from the exquisite, handcrafted stone through to the interior design - tells the story of Jesus Christ. You are invited to discover this sacred place and the love of God at its heart, which has attracted people from across the globe for more than 100 years. Get in touch: Richard Ellis Hawley, 63 Shirley Close, Evenwood, DL14 9RQ. We hold Holy Communion every first, second, fourth and fifth Sunday of the month at 10:00am. Every third Sunday we have All Age Worship at 10.00am. Our church hall is available to hire for celebrations, meetings, social groups and community activities. We have a ramped entrance and accessible toilet for wheelchair users. Assistance dogs are welcome. Come along and worship with us!
Evenwood, Ramshaw and District History Society

Evenwood, Ramshaw and District History Society (ERDHS) is a voluntary, non political organisation with a constitution, membership and officials. We are open for all to join regardless of age, gender, ethnic origin, disability or whatever and all are welcome. We do not hold charity status. We are a non-profit making organisation. Any funds we do procure will be ploughed back into our society for the benefit of our local community. Our aim is to collect documents, stories, photos, images and objects in order to pass on memories and artefacts to the generations that follow. We organise displays and exhibitions to share our findings to all. Many people have allowed us to copy photographs, documents and articles in the knowledge that they would be used for display purposes. We would like to thank them publicly here although, in many cases, we can not identify the actual person who loaned the artefact. We are based at the Randolph Community Centre, Evenwood. at the Randolph Community Centre. Chairman: Kevin Richardson email: [email protected]
