Applications were invited from local voluntary groups, clubs, and organisations in Evenwood & Barony Parish for financial assistance for the year 2026-2027. The closing date was Monday 13th April 2026. The Parish Council has agreed to grant £3,041.69 to Evenwood and Ramshaw Community Projects Group to help fund the purchase and installation of eight further lamp post ‘light socks’ for Christmas 2026. Winter is a dark and difficult time for many people, so the group will light up as much of the two villages as they can, bringing some cheer and positivity. They aim to increase the number of Christmas lights each year.
